Project Ascend
Project Ascend was a projected, interactive theatrical performance inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. We invited our audience at the biannual Mixhibition to pick their role, and decide their fate!

My Role
This project was produced and directed by Natalie Nguyen and completed as apart of a class taught and produced by Professor Sven Ortel.
We had a team of 10 (not including performers) and it was made within only 1 semester. My roles included interaction designer, Pixera compositor and editor, and art director.
This show was tough to design and put on, but extremely rewarding. Watching the audience engage and play with the performers was fulfilling--and made it all worthwhile.

A Forest's Worth
A Forest's Worth is a combination VR and projected immersive experience designed to submerge its audiences in the beauty that is the Tongass National Forest, while also educating them on the importance of roadless area conservation and how it impacts the local and tribal communities of South East Alaska. Please read more at AForestsWorth.com.

Research, Community, and Technology
This project was developed and showcased by a team of three, whom got to travel to Alaska to capture media and collect testimonials from local communities and tribal members. We all wore many hats to pull it off, but I specialized in media collection, website creation, and the Pixera projection show.
This show is designed to be experienced along with its VR counterpart to viscerally impact the audience on the topic of deforestation.

Tech For Change: ReMix The Future
This large scale event was a hackathon style welcoming of the ASU MIX Center's tools to both students, community members, and professionals. There were four different tracks designed for different facilities and skill levels, with prizes and certificates as incentives on top of learning new tools and skills. I participated as a track lead. The event's main sponsors were PIT-UN, Canon, and Coco Cola.

Mentoring Immersive Storytelling.
I participated in the RTF hackathon as a Track Lead under my Track Captain, Professor Sven Ortel. I gave guidance to our Enhanced Immersion Studio track participants, specifically on Pixera/Touch Designer and media workflows. I also assisted overall with teamwork tactics, management and community knowledge--the last topic being integral to the main goals of this event, which is technology for change. We focused on food system and social determinants of health here in the Valley and it was wonderful sharing my knowledge as an activist and Arizonan with those who visited us here in Phoenix for just this event.
